The Missouri State Bears volleyball team was defeated convincingly in both of their Missouri Valley Conference matchups this weekend against the Valparaiso Beacons and the Loyola Ramblers. Volleyball Bears split MVC weekend on the road

Kicking off Missouri Valley Conference play last weekend, the Missouri State Bears volleyball team split their two games against the Illinois State Redbirds and the Bradley University Braves. Their first contest on Friday evening in Normal, Illinois, turned out to be competitive to the very end and historic as well. After having a historic, record-setting year with brand new head coach Steven McRoberts last season, the Missouri State Bears volleyball team continued to win, as the squad now has a winning record after their opening weekend. MSU tennis advances to MVC championship with win over Stony Brook

With a chance to compete for the conference title, the second-ever matchup between the Missouri State Bears and Stony Brook Seawolves saw the two teams give a win or go home effort. In an exciting 4-3 contest, MSU was able to take advantage of battling at home and came out on top. It’s been two weeks since the Missouri State volleyball team was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. With just two games left in the regular season, the Missouri State volleyball team was able to split a two-game series against the Bradley Braves. Their first matchup this past Sunday ended with a loss, the second time this season the Bears lost in three sets. It was the tale of two games as Bradley had full control of the series initially.
